CATCH US IF YOU CANNES!

On Monday, we were delighted to announce our UK Young Lions Competition winners. In our role as UK Rep for the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, we hold our own Young Lions competition every year. The aim of the competition is to find the UK’s best rising creative talent who will then go on to compete in the Global Young Lions competitions, part of the main festival. It’s a pretty big deal!

We set all participants a brief, which this year centred around our upcoming 2023 All In Census – part of our initiative to build a more inclusive workplace. The competitions are split into six categories – Design, Digital, Film, Marketers, Media and Print.

We received an amazing 130 entries this year and the work was of an incredibly high standard! We would like to thank all the entrants for taking part and our wonderful panel of jurors for their valued feedback (you can read more about the jurors here). A huge congratulations goes to our winners and all involved.

COMBATTING AGEISM WITH ALL IN

This Wednesday, we held the latest All In How-To Session on Action 6: to improve the experience & representation of Older talent. Action 6 is to implement the Shared Experiences policy  to help tackle the ageism which currently exists at both ends of the age spectrum.

We were lucky to have such a fantastic line-up of speakers: Kate Buchanan – CEO, McCann Manchester; Nicky Bullard – CCO, MullenLowe; Ally Owen – Creator, Brixton Finishing School & Hoxton United; and Charlotte Read – Director, PRcentric and Founding Partner, 40 Over Forty. It was inspiring to hear all about how Older talent can help solve the talent crisis our industry faces. This session and the personal experiences of our panellists clearly highlighted the need for our industry to celebrate career longevity and work harder towards talent retention.

You can read more about the event here and watch all the All In How To sessions on demand here.

As you may know, this week has been Mental Health Awareness week. According to the All In Census, 12% of people in our industry declared they had mental health concerns. You can read more about our All In initiative and how to help change conversations around mental health on this Campaign article written by Channel 4’s Zaid Al-Qassab.
