The Advertising Association promotes the role and rights of responsible advertising and its value to people, society, businesses and the economy. We represent UK advertisers, agencies, media owners and tech companies on behalf of the entire industry, acting as the connection between industry professionals and the politicians and policy-makers.

A A A

The Advertising Association focuses on major industry and policy areas that have huge ramifications on UK advertising. This section contains our work around public health, gambling advertising, data and e-privacy, trust, the digital economy and more.

Credos is the advertising industry’s independent think tank. It produces research, evidence and reports into the impact and effectiveness of and public and political response to advertising on behalf of UK advertisers in order to enable the industry to make informed decisions.

Front Foot is our industry’s member network of over 90 businesses across UK advertising. It aims to promote the role of responsible advertising and its value to people, society and the economy through a coalition of senior leaders from advertisers, agencies and media owners.

We run a number of events throughout the year, from our annual LEAD summit to the Media Business Course and regular breakfast briefings for our members. We are also the official UK representative for the world’s biggest festival of creativity – Cannes Lions.

Industry News

That distinctive morning air chill takes me back to school days and the start of a new academic year. It’s time to learn again… So, it’s the perfect moment to ramp up CPD plans. Warning. Here comes a shameless plug for our Advertising & Marketing Training Hub, developed in partnership with Adwanted UK.

The hub has had a huge refresh for the new ‘term’. It features 23 training providers including the Chartered Institute of Marketing, the ASA/CAP, and Bauer Academy, and showcases nearly 700 courses and qualifications across a range of skills and levels, including plenty of free development opportunities. Google has given us access to 50 free licences for their Career Certificate programmes, so, if you’re keen to become a Project Management genius or an AI Essentials pro, now’s the time to register. Other new courses include Tesco Media’s new Retail Media Certificate, a fast-growth area of advertising, and the rebranded Pinterest Academy’s new Media Planner and Media Buyer Certificates.

The team behind it here at the AA have worked hard to ensure the industry’s largest training hub has been specifically curated with you in mind: you can browse training for your teams as well as yourself, no matter what stage in career. It’s the best of UK advertising’s training, skills, and development – all in one place. Find out more and register your free account here. Shameless plug over. Now, where’s my pencil case?
