Today, our Media Business Course (MBC) began in Eastbourne, with a focus on the art of media planning and pitching.
Day One kicked off with a welcome from our Commercial Director, Sharon Lloyd Barnes, and our Events Director, Suzanne Costello.
The first day focussed on explaining the process of interpreting a brief, developing strategic direction and harnessing creativity to create successful campaigns.
This was followed by talks from a fantastic line-up of speakers, including David Grainger, Founder of GraveDanger Ltd, Vicky Fox, Chief Planning Officer at OMG, Rory Sutherland, Vice Chairman at Ogilvy and Amy Kean, Founder and Creative Director at Good Shout.
After lunch, veteran tutor Hamid Habib, Managing Director at Arena Media gave his guide to success and three members of last year’s winning syndicate shared their tips on how to win whilst also making the most of your time at MBC.
The day concluded with a reveal of the all-important Client Brief.
