Our former Chairman Jeremy Bullmore turned 90 yesterday! He has made a huge contribution to the industry and to mark his special day, our very own Director of Credos Karen Fraser MBE wrote an article on the first time she met Jeremy, the work he did for the Advertising Association, which includes Advertising’s Big Questions, and a very special new collection at the History of Advertising Trust.
You can read the article in full on Campaign here.
This week we took part in the ‘Healthier Choices, Healthier Children’ conference organised by Government Events. Stephen highlighted the existing strong rules around HFSS advertising and some of the industry initiatives in place to encourage healthier lifestyles among young people. Attendees largely consisted of health campaign groups such as Sustain and the Obesity Health Alliance.
On Wednesday we held our latest Digital Advertising Working Group meeting. Chaired by our Chief Executive Stephen Woodford, the group discussed follow up to the ICO’s Adtech fact finding forum and shared information on various activities.
The group is developing an industry narrative and coordinating next steps. For more information on how to contribute to this work please contact our Strategic Policy Advisor Konrad Shek.
Ad and PR industry legend Tim Bell’s Memorial service will be held on February 27th at St Paul’s Church, Knightsbridge, at 12pm, with a party afterwards at The Berkeley.
RSVP is essential, to secure your place please email timbell@spkb.org.
