Stephen became CEO of the Advertising Association in October 2016. The AA promotes the role and rights of responsible advertising and its value to people, society, business and the economy. The leading advertising trade bodies, commercial media owners and tech platforms are all members of the AA. The AA focuses on ad industry priorities, such as public trust in advertising, inclusion through the All In programme and sustainability, as the home of Ad Net Zero, which started in the UK and now extends internationally. The AA lobbies on behalf of the industry with Government and promotes the economic value of the industry through the ‘Advertising Pays’ reports. It is the home of Media Smart, the industry’s media literacy programme and the UK Advertising Export Group, promoting the UK’s world-leading exports performance.
Before the AA, Stephen held leadership roles in four agency groups (Leo Burnett, WCRS/Engine and DDB/adam&eveDDB and Next 15). He is a Governor of Ravensbourne University in London, the UK’s newest creative and technology university. He chairs The Debating Group, a cross-industry programme that hosts debates on industry issues in Parliament. He is a past President of NABS and serves on the board of the History of Advertising Trust. He was IPA President (2003-05) where he led both their first ethnic diversity initiative and launched its professional qualifications, which over 20,000 people have now passed in the UK and around the world.

Dagmara joined the International Advertising Association (IAA) in 2017 as the Global Executive Director in charge of overseeing the IAA business across 56 countries. As a global leader in the marketing and communications industry, she believes social and environmental responsibility are as important as profit. She has used this belief system to transform the IAA brand and it’s culture over the last 4 years.
Prior to joining IAA, Dagmara was the President and Founder of Dagmara Szulce LLC, a marketing services consultancy focused on partnering with CMOs and CEOs in the luxury, fashion, beauty, real estate and private equity sectors to build purpose-driven brands. She is also

She has unique expertise in crafting living brand ecosystems with a key objective of igniting ongoing consumer desire and irrational loyalty. Marla Kaplowitz joined the 4A’s in 2017 to help chart the future of the association, defining its mission as empowering members to drive commerce, spark connections, and shape culture through infinite creativity. Kaplowitz brings 30 years of industry experience in marketing and communications. As the CEO of MEC North America, starting in 2011, Kaplowitz led the agency to become a major disruptor in talent management with innovative approaches to attracting, nurturing, and retaining top talent. Fortune cited the agency in its Great Places to Work feature, and Ad Age named it to its Best Places to Work in Advertising and Marketing list in 2015. Previously, Kaplowitz spent 12 years at Mediavest, overseeing Procter & Gamble Communications Planning for North America, and managed a multi-client team. She began her career at DMB&B before moving to Ammirati Puris Lintas. Kaplowitz serves on the Boards of The Ad Council, Advertising Self-Regulatory Council (ASRC), Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA), and Trustworthy Accountability Group (TAG) and the Marketing Standards Board/General Assembly. She is a member of the Women’s Forum of New York. Ad Age recognized her as a Woman to Watch in 2012. The John A. Reisenbach Foundation gave Kaplowitz the Distinguished Citizen Award in 2016.

Bob Liodice is chief executive officer of the ANA. He previously served as executive vice president, responsible for member relations and business development with a primary focus on strengthening relationships with ANA member companies and broadening the membership base. Bob joined the ANA as senior vice president in 1995.
He is a member of the boards of directors of The Advertising Council, Better Business Bureau National Partner Program, Geopath, Advertising Educational Foundation, Digital Advertising Alliance, Trustworthy Accountability Group, and World Federation of Advertisers.
He is co-chair of the ANA Alliance for Inclusive and Multicultural Marketing, chair of the Privacy for America coalition, and he serves on the governing bodies of the Partnership for Responsible Addressable Media and the Global Alliance for Responsible Media.
Bob holds bachelor degrees in accounting and management and an M.B.A. in finance from New York University.
