Our Parliamentary Reception took place on 15 July 2026 in the House of Commons Terrace Pavilion, celebrating the centenary of the Advertising Association and particularly focussing on one of our founding principles: Trust.
Our President, Andria Vidler, launched our new Trust Action Plan. While public trust in advertising reached a five-year high of 40% in 2025, it is fragile, and this new plan focuses on three strategic pillars designed to align commercial success for the industry with the public interest. Andria described the important, positive work of the ASA Awareness Campaign in driving awareness and increasing public trust in advertising.
The reception also heard from Damian Hinds, MP for East Hampshire, and Ian Murray, Minister of State for Media, Tourism and Creative Industries. He reinforced the need for trusted media, and praised the industry for its work with government through the Online Advertising Taskforce and shared ambition to prioritise trust.
Hosts of Times Radio Breakfast, Stig and Kate, also gave insights about the concerns of their listeners with Westminster in the current political landscape.
The speeches were followed by drinks and networking on the terrace by the River Thames.
Thank you to everyone who attended.
