Yesterday marked the first day of our 2019 Media Business Course (MBC) at The Grand in Brighton!
MBC is firmly established as the place where hundreds of young industry practitioners get the opportunity to hear insights from industry leaders and experts on how the media planning world operates. The delegates have been split into syndicates and yesterday received a blue-chip client brief to devise a full media strategy, which they will then pitch against each other to become the coveted MBC winners at the end of the three-day course.
Day one began with introductions from our Co-Chairs Karen Stacey of Digital Cinema Media and David Wilding of Twitter, our very own Commercial Director Sharon Lloyd Barnes and our convenors, Clare Peters of Manning Gottlieb OMD and Simeon Adams, Goodstuff Communications. It then continued with a variety of inspiring talks from our stellar line-up of speakers including Tracy de Groose of Newsworks, Rory Sutherland of Ogilvy and Richard Eyre CBE of IAB UK.
