All In is a cross-industry campaign for representation within UK advertising and marketing, created by the Advertising Association, the IPA, and ISBA. Launched in 2021, and developed with Kantar, the All In Census is UK advertising’s largest workforce survey of its kind, asking important questions about experience and representation within our industry. Shaped by All In data, the All In Action Plan provides a framework to support better inclusion within the workforce, with 160 All in Champion companies currently implementing all eight actions.
With Artificial Intelligence playing a transformative role in our industry, our AI Taskforce is focused on showcasing the applications of AI in advertising and identifying the skills our workforce will need. These will be showcased in an AI Skills e-book, due to be published in 2026. Meanwhile, our Skills and Growth Working Group has produced a report looking at how ambitious reform of apprenticeships will allow our sector to grow.
timeTo is an initiative, in collaboration with NABS and WACL, that aims to tackle and stamp out sexual harassment in the advertising and marketing industry. Alongside the creation of this campaign, we have launched a dedicated code of conduct, which we encourage other members of the industry to adopt and support, and a toolkit for endorsing companies with a training programme to raise awareness, educate employees and drive cultural change.
Through Media Smart, our industry’s award-winning non-profit, we provide high-quality resources, champion advertising education and support the Government’s work to improve media literacy across the UK. Media Smart helps children and young people understand advertising wherever it appears and inspires them to consider careers in our sector. It provides free guides for 7–25-year-olds, engaging teaching resources for schools and expert advice for parents and guardians.
Our Talent Trailblazer Award with Marketing Week celebrates companies whose initiatives and projects have helped attract talent into the industry who might not have otherwise seen it as an option. Examples might include, but are not limited to, apprenticeship schemes, school outreach programmes, partnership initiatives, and social enterprise schemes. Previous winners of the award include VCCP’s Stoke Academy and the John Doe Group.
