AA Scotland is a network of leading practitioners from across the Scottish advertising industry. It is chaired by Marie Owen, CEO of LS Productions. We are actively engaged with stakeholder groups and government officials in Holyrood to ensure that our voice is heard.
Every £1 of ad spend generates £5 for Scottish GDP, representing over 5% of the nation’s economy. Advertising revenue not only supports jobs in the sector but has a far-reaching impact on competition, innovation and exports, as well as media, creative and digital services.
The Advertising Association responded to the Scottish Government’s consultation into advertising marketing restrictions in March 2023. We welcomed the Scottish Government’s announcement in April 2023 announcement to rethink its proposals. The AA will continue to engage with the Scottish Government and monitor developments on behalf of our members.
