The Advertising Association promotes the role and rights of responsible advertising and its value to people, society, businesses and the economy. We represent UK advertisers, agencies, media owners and tech companies on behalf of the entire industry, acting as the connection between industry professionals and the politicians and policy-makers.

A A A

The Advertising Association focuses on major industry and policy areas that have huge ramifications on UK advertising. This section contains our work around public health, gambling advertising, data and e-privacy, trust, the digital economy and more.

Credos is the advertising industry’s independent think tank. It produces research, evidence and reports into the impact and effectiveness of and public and political response to advertising on behalf of UK advertisers in order to enable the industry to make informed decisions.

Front Foot is our industry’s member network of over 90 businesses across UK advertising. It aims to promote the role of responsible advertising and its value to people, society and the economy through a coalition of senior leaders from advertisers, agencies and media owners.

We run a number of events throughout the year, from our annual LEAD summit to the Media Business Course and regular breakfast briefings for our members. We are also the official UK representative for the world’s biggest festival of creativity – Cannes Lions.

LESS THAN TWO WEEKS TO GO!

Yes, we keep banging on about Ad Net Zero’s first Birthday party aka the Global Summit, but we really are very excited and would hate for you to miss out. We’ve just smashed through 1,000 registered attendees and we’d love for you to join us – the climate emergency is something that we simply cannot ignore.

We’re all busy behind the scenes getting everything ready. Not only will it be a fantastic two-day event filled with inspiring speakers and workshops, we will also be launching a few new Ad Net Zero-related things too!

Day one of The Summit will set out the ambitions of Ad Net Zero and the system change needed to tackle the climate emergency, and day two will include a series of workshops with step-by-step advice and guidance on measuring and reducing carbon emissions.

We have an incredible line-up of speakers including from companies such as Unilever, Mastercard, PepsiCo, Facebook, Channel 4, Ørsted, Sky, Tenzing, Havas and STV. You can check out the full programme and list of speakers here.

If you would like to learn more about how our industry can play its role in tackling the climate emergency, and the practical steps that you can take in your businesses, make sure you join us. Any advertising professional from around the world can book a ticket – it will be broadcast live online from STV’s studios in Glasgow during COP26.

OUR CLIMATE ACTION SHOWCASE

On the topic of climate action, next Wednesday, on the eve of COP26, we will be holding our first in-person Parliamentary Reception since the pandemic in the House of Commons, kindly hosted by Damian Collins MP.

This reception will focus on the role that our industry can play in helping to build a net zero economy, promoting the innovation and competition needed to achieve this goal, and helping in the creative of ‘green’ jobs as we shift to a more sustainable way of living. As such, we will share information about both Ad Net Zero and AdGreen.

Because of restricted attendance numbers, this event is by invitation only but you can find out more here.
