Participants of the UK Young Lions competition were set a brief from the Advertising Association’s All In workstream – an initiative to build a more inclusive industry – which they were asked to respond to by either creating an extension of its existing campaign or building an entirely new brand identity. The 180 entries were then judged by an impressive cohort of industry professionals, whose details can be found here.
The Global Young Lions competitions are where the next generation of creative stars go head-to-head, answering a brief in just 24 hours, with the aim of being crowned the Global Young Lions winners. Applicable only for under-31s, the competitions are the best way for the world’s finest young teams to celebrate and showcase creativity on the global stage.
The Advertising Association has also launched a UK trade mission to Cannes Lions, run by the UK Advertising Exports Group in partnership with the Department for International Trade. The trade mission will be backed by a special campaign supported by a coalition of industry partners including the APA, Clear Channel, Channel 4, Framestore, M&C Saatchi, Pinterest, and PwC.
Companies that join the trade mission will gain a range of benefits including attendance to networking events, the opportunity to showcase work and speak at roundtable events, and the chance to discuss new business opportunities with international markets.
Applications to join the trade mission close on Thursday May 12. Find out more and apply here.
Aisling Conlon, International Trade Director, UK Advertising Exports Group, commented: “The Young Lions competitions are an excellent place to demonstrate the creative strength of the UK’s emerging talent.
