The Advertising Association promotes the role and rights of responsible advertising and its value to people, society, businesses and the economy. We represent UK advertisers, agencies, media owners and tech companies on behalf of the entire industry, acting as the connection between industry professionals and the politicians and policy-makers.

The Advertising Association focuses on major industry and policy areas that have huge ramifications on UK advertising. This section contains our work around public health, gambling advertising, data and e-privacy, trust, the digital economy and more.

Credos is the advertising industry’s independent think tank. It produces research, evidence and reports into the impact and effectiveness of and public and political response to advertising on behalf of UK advertisers in order to enable the industry to make informed decisions.

Front Foot is our industry’s member network of over 90 businesses across UK advertising. It aims to promote the role of responsible advertising and its value to people, society and the economy through a coalition of senior leaders from advertisers, agencies and media owners.

We run a number of events throughout the year, from our annual LEAD summit to the Media Business Course and regular breakfast briefings for our members. We are also the official UK representative for the world’s biggest festival of creativity – Cannes Lions.

About Ad Net Zero

In November 2020, we launched Ad Net Zero, an industry-wide initiative to help UK advertising respond to the climate crisis caused by CO2 emissions. Ad Net Zero’s mission is for immediate, collective industry action to help achieve real net-zero carbon emissions from the development, production, and media placement of advertising by the end of 2030.

About the role

With over a hundred organisations in our supporter base, Ad Net Zero has grown from strength to strength in the UK and is now expanding globally. We’re looking for a highly motivated project coordinator to join the team to facilitate the continued growth of our supporter base, assist our current supporters with their engagement with the programme and take charge of day-to-day processes. The project coordinator will also provide support for campaigns and some promotional activities.

Responsibilities include: 

  • Managing Ad Net Zero supporters’ requests and fielding questions to the Ad Net Zero team.
  • Setting up and ensuring the smooth running of all meetings, preparing agendas and minutes, and assisting with any follow-up tasks.
  • Working closely with the commercial and finance teams to effectively onboard new supporters and retain existing ones.
  • Engaging with prospects by setting up meetings, managing processes for onboarding new supporters and renewing existing contracts.
  • Managing the Ad Net Zero contacts list and CRM database.
  • Researching, shaping, and delivering the monthly communications newsletter to all supporters.
  • Working closely with our creative agency to develop any supporting promotional materials.
  • Regularly updating the Ad Net Zero folder and Ad Net Zero website with relevant assets and materials.
  • Continually updating the project management dashboard.
  • Coordinating the AA’s certification process with Planet Mark.
  • Providing support with data collection for Action 1.
  • Assisting with designing and implementing membership surveys to supporters.
  • Assisting with research for Ad Net Zero resources such as the Essentials Training and Essentials Guide.
  • Assisting with other adhoc projects such as events and workshops.

Requirements and skills:

  • 1-2 years’ experience in a project support role.
  • First-class admin skills and IT proficiency inc, Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Experience updating websites and using email marketing applications.
  • Effective writing and communication skills.
  • Highly organised with proficient time management skills.
  • An interest/understanding of the advertising industry.
  • A passion for understanding sustainability and climate action.

 Terms of employment

  • Initially, a 12-month fixed-term contract role with a view to a permanent role on longer-term basis.
  • Salary, 26-28K per annum, depending on experience.
