– Were any of your primary vendors (listed above) 51% owned/operated by women or underrepresented people?

[Company Name] requires you to send Live Action Bidding Letter and Post-Production Bidding Letter to any production, editorial, VFX, animation, mix, telecine and music vendors in consideration for every project, and for those bidders to fill out Supplier D&I questionnaires (linked to in the letters) at the time they submit their bids.
[Company Name] is an official partner to Free the Work. It is our intention that our vendors will include at least one underrepresented director in the bidding process for every triple bid job. The Free The Work database contains searchable profiles to help ensure that talented underrepresented creators can be found globally.
In the event including an underrepresented director on the bid is not possible, we expect you to document and share your findings with us, in order to better diagnose difficulties in fulfilling our pledge.
[Company Name] believes in working with crews that reflect the diversity of our world and our platform. For commercials shooting in LA, New York, London or Brazil, [Company Name] requests that at least (1) PA per live action shoot come from one of our approved non-profit partners listed below. We will be tracking our efforts in order to promote diversity and build economic opportunity for underrepresented persons. For clarity, this program is requested but not mandatory. If you are unable to procure a PA from one of these companies, please share your reasons with your agency producer in order to have this rule waived.
We hope to expand this list over time, so please make sure you are using our most current and up to date list. If shooting outside one of these markets, please make every attempt to find a similar non-profit PA program in the locale you are shooting in.

– Veterans in Media and Entertainment – Veterans in Media & Entertainment is a professional association of U.S. military veterans working in, or aspiring to work in, media and entertainment by connecting veterans to each other and to the industry. The majority of VME’s 3500 members are transitioning into the industry workforce and looking for opportunities to learn job skills and build their network. – Lights! Camera! Access! – Lights! Camera! Access! was created in July 2010 for US Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy. LCA aims to increase employment in front of, and behind the camera/keyboard and improve disability portrayals. Currently, LCA works with a variety of industry and disability non-profits to maximise results. With 40 years experience as a trusted source and connector, the LCA Collaborative is an aggregator and curator of talent with disabilities, and provides customised PA recommendations for shoots until the production companies become familiar with the talent pipelines themselves. – Brooklyn Workforce Innovations – Brooklyn Workforce Innovations’ “Made in NY” Production Assistant Training Program graduates are equipped with basic production industry knowledge upon graduation. Since 2006, BWI has excelled at pairing their graduates with employers who produce content in film, television, commercials and new media that need skilled, reliable PAs.
