The Advertising Association promotes the role and rights of responsible advertising and its value to people, society, businesses and the economy. We represent UK advertisers, agencies, media owners and tech companies on behalf of the entire industry, acting as the connection between industry professionals and the politicians and policy-makers.

A A A

The Advertising Association focuses on major industry and policy areas that have huge ramifications on UK advertising. This section contains our work around public health, gambling advertising, data and e-privacy, trust, the digital economy and more.

Credos is the advertising industry’s independent think tank. It produces research, evidence and reports into the impact and effectiveness of and public and political response to advertising on behalf of UK advertisers in order to enable the industry to make informed decisions.

Front Foot is our industry’s member network of over 90 businesses across UK advertising. It aims to promote the role of responsible advertising and its value to people, society and the economy through a coalition of senior leaders from advertisers, agencies and media owners.

We run a number of events throughout the year, from our annual LEAD summit to the Media Business Course and regular breakfast briefings for our members. We are also the official UK representative for the world’s biggest festival of creativity – Cannes Lions.

AD NET ZERO JUST WON A WFA PRESIDENT’S AWARD!

This week, we received the amazing news that Ad Net Zero has been awarded a WFA President’s Award at Global Marketer Week in Athens.

The annual President’s Awards recognise initiatives run by national industry associations that have helped advance the marketer’s agenda and contribute to positive change in the marketing industry and society.

Submissions were judged on being able to compellingly demonstrate that they had made a measurable impact and could be replicated in other markets. The Ad Net Zero submission and presentation to National Associations stressed the extent to which this has been a massive cross-industry collaboration.

We’re so proud to see that our joint efforts to build a sustainable industry are being recognised internationally!

I AM TITANIUM

We are already counting down the days to the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity! We can’t wait to be on the Palais with the sun on our faces, surrounded by the world’s best international creatives, in person, once again.

As official UK Rep for the festival, we have been working with the Cannes Lions team to find the very best jurors for the awards. This week, the Titanium Jury was announced. You can check out the full list of its jurors here. Keep your eyes peeled for more jury news in the coming weeks!

HAVE YOUR SAY ON ORIGIN

ISBA recently announced that it is running an industry-wide consultation to measure the industry’s appetite for a levy. This levy will be used for charging for the Core Reporting service of the Origin cross-media measurement product.

ISBA wants to make sure that UK advertisers agree with this proposal of part-funding Origin via a levy. With that in mind, ISBA is providing advertisers with an online session to learn more about Origin, ask any questions and have their voice heard.

The online session will take place on Wednesday 20 April at 3pm and it is free to attend for anyone in the industry with an interest in the Origin levy.
