SUMMER EVENTS ARE AROUND THE CORNER
There’s a big week of events coming up, starting with The Debating Group’s Annual Reception at the House of Commons Terrace on Wednesday. The event will celebrate the value of debating the most pressing political issues affecting the advertising and marketing industries, hosted by Tulip Siddiq MP.
The next day we have the eagerly-anticipated Stranger Than Summer annual fundraiser for our industry support charity NABS – we are looking forward to seeing many of our members there to all help raise money for an important cause.
Preparations are also well underway for Cannes Lions as we get ready to head down on the train to fly the flag for team UK. As UK reps, we will be championing the Young Lions competition and celebrating all the UK winners at Cannes. Our Exports Group is also bringing two (!) trade missions in partnership with the Department for Business and Trade – for more information, head to our bespoke hub.
And to top it off, we’ll be bringing Ad Net Zero to the Palais – keep your eyes peeled for more details coming soon…

SUKI’S STEPS & SWIM – CELEBRATING SUKI
Everyone at the AA is thinking of Suki Thompson, Oystercatchers Chair, founder and CEO of Let’s Reset and advertising industry hero who has been told the news that her cancer has returned after a long battle with the illness.
Always a positive inspiration, Suki has set up ‘Suki’s Steps’ – a walk and swim on Sunday, July 16 to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support who have helped her immensely throughout her journey.
Here’s how you can help.
1️. Take part in the walk or swim:
Everyone is invited to Suki’s Steps for a ten mile walk along the Chess Valley in the Chilterns, one of Suki’s favourite spots.
If you wish to join for a swim… Happening simultaneously to the walk is a swim organised on Perranporth Beach in Cornwall.
2️. Please donate to Suki’s Steps to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support here: https://justgiving.com/page/teamsuki
