In 2019, Clear Channel UK funded a project in partnership with Brighton & Hove City Council to help transform a conventional Brighton bus stop into something more sustainable.
The project involved installing a living roof, made up of Sedum plants known for their ability to enhance air quality. The plants were bedded in upcycled plastic bottles that were collected from local beach by Clear Channel’s beach cleaning operative, a formerly homeless Brighton resident, who was helped back into employment in collaboration with YMCA EVOLVE project.
