On Tuesday, UKAEG hosted UK House in Brazil. The event was hosted by UKAEG, UK Lions rep, the Advertising Association and the Brazilian rep Estado in partnership with Cannes Lions Festival of creativity and the UK Government, GREAT campaign.
Brazil and the UK have long historical ties in trade and investment. The largest South American economy, has risen as an economic and political power in the past two decades. This growth has had a huge impact in its local creative economy. As a result, Brazil has lots to share with the UK in terms of business models and innovative practice, and vice versa. UKAEG is working closely with the Brazilian advertising industry to develop a mutual and beneficial culture of exchange between both markets around digital innovation and creative businesses development, forging a long term partnership which allows for a fluid exchange of ideas, models and collaborations to take place.
At our first joint event over 50 industry leaders from both Brazil and the UK joined the event to meet and share ideas over 90 minutes of high- quality discussion and presentations by leaders and innovators from the UK and Brazilian advertising industry.

Our next UK House event is Bangladesh. Bangladesh has an impressive track record of growth. GDP growth in 2019 (pre-Covid) +8%, which was the biggest in Asia-Pacific region – more than India and China. As the market recovers from the pandemic the IMF/WB have predicted a growth of 5-6% over the next 12 months.
